Ontario is the second biggest province in Canada, and being its most populated means there are more than enough places to visit and take a couple pictures. The majority of the development and population is in the south, while the northern part of the province is mostly remote. The aim of this article is to highlight some of the places to take beautiful pictures while in Ontario, Canada.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls on the globe, with visitors coming from every corner of the world to see it. They are situated on the border between the United States state of New York and Canada’s Ontario province. The best views of the falls are to be had in Ontario.

Bruce Peninsula National Park

The Bruce Peninsula National Park is situated on the peninsula of the same name which itself is located between the Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. You get amazing views of picturesque water, cliffs and rock formations. You can also get great pictures using numerous hiking trails that offer up amazing views.

Manitoulin Island

Situated on Lake Huron, Manitoulin Island is linked to mainland Ontario by a bridge. There are numerous lakes which offer up amazing scenery perfect for pictures, as well as the picturesque shores of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.

Scarborough Bluffs

The Scarborough Bluffs has an elevation of around 90 metres above Lake Ontario. There are several parks with trails in the area which offer great scenes to photograph.

Bonnechere Caves

Bonnechere Caves are just west of Ottawa in Eganville. These caves are under a limestone hill.

Ouimet Canyon

The Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park is located north of Sibley peninsula. It features a 2 km long gorge with walls that reach almost 100 metres. Located on the gorge are trails and boardwalks which give access to platforms with stunning views.

Kakabeka Falls

This fall is located near Thunder Bay. These impressive 40 metre falls make up the Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park. There is a boardwalk located above the falls to give a great view of both the gorge and the falls. There are also trails which offer up not only excellent vies but also amazing photographic opportunities.

Agawa Canyon

Agawa Canyon is an isolated destination just east of the Lake Superior Provincial Park. There are a couple short trails and steps which lead to an observation platform.
